it's been a long time.

Well, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a very good blogger and since summer I've been overwhelmingly busy. I'm a procrastinator to say the least and it seems like i never have time for anything.

Over the pass couple months I've been trying to get my photography portfolio together and have been doing things as such for school. Here are some of my images!

Also I've been ebaying and etsying like crazy and have a bunch of new things! Expect my etsy shop to be updated with some really cute dresses!

This semester is the same, maybe even worse. I'm trying not to be a downer but i'm always so sleepy! I'm currently interning at Anthropologie as a visual display intern which is great! and going to school and working at a pre-school.

Gosh, i can not wait for spring days and no more snow days. Wearing dresses with no tights and taking day trips and traveling unknown roads! There are too many things to name! I just can't wait!

Hopefully, I'll be better with posting more often and look out for my etsy
shop! -Heather

Moving Sale.

Moving Sale.

So sadly to say, I'm actually moving and it's came quicker then expected . I've lived in my house now for about ten years and
I must say, I'm very sad to move. Although I'm 20, I feel sort of like a little kid that doesn't want to leave there home. I've moved four other times before this but no other house has felt like home to me, except this one. As I'm writing this I'm even getting a wee bit teary eyed as foolish as that may sound. My whole family has been packing for the past couples weeks while I reluctantly take things down in my room. I'm trying to occupy my time doing other things that don't involve me packing away my tiny room into a couple of cardboard boxes. I really don't want to but there isn't anything I can really do, so I'll have to be a big girl and just go with the flow for now. But we are having a garage sale and if anyone lives around NYC, you should stop by. We'll have a TON of things.

Sleepy Hallow

sleepyhallow

Today my friends and I took a little trip to Sleepy Hallow, NY. After eating at a really cute Greek place and getting the most delicious cupcake from a coffee shop we found ourselves in Pretty Funny Vintage. The store was the bottom level and basement of this wonderful house and filled with the most WONDERFUL things you could ever imagine. I wanted to buy pretty much everything, dresses, books, pins, paintings, old globes and sooo much more!! Although I loved this place, I walked away empty handed partly because i'm broke and the other part because the prices were alittle too steep for me. But the workers were really nice and put me on the mailing list. So, next time I visit I hope to have some money and if you're by the area, give this place a visit!!!

Moving sale!

Last of the new purchases for my new room!
dogs
tiny dress
new glasses

So I'm not a very good blogger, I've decided.  I also speak backwards alot of time too.  But anyway, nothing new lately. I've been on a sort of buying spree for the past 3 months or so and decided it was finally time to take a break unless it was something I couldn't live without.  What also lead me to this was that I'll be moving in a month or so and I want a clean slate.  So what's bad for me will be good for some of you!!
I'll be having a sale on my etsy from now until I get settled into my new house, or room rather. Nothing is more then 40$ and I'd say most of the stuff i'll be selling at a reasonable price. Go take a look!!

Etsy.Etsy!
Well hopefully I'll get some stuff sold and be able to start buying again! Thanks a bunch.

p.s. My family and I also will be having a garage sale in about two weeks or so, so if any of you girls live in the nj/ny tristate area, let me know and I'll tell you the date/address. There will be a TON!! of things and then some stuff I'm selling on my own.

bathing suit blues.

Picture 5

So it's been raining here for the past week and I think i might have to start building an arc of my own.  I'm pretty much sick and tired of it. Where is summer? I need the sun, I need the beach, I need BBQ's and wearing cute summer dresses! The weather is really making me feel horrible and I don't even feel like getting dressed which is something I'm not used to.  I have also been pretty busy thanks to some baby-sitting which I'm pretty thankful for because of the much needed money.  I really am buying way to many things and my wallet can't keep up with it.  I did however spend the day with my mother and aunt and got some things, for free!
With all this rain I don't know if I'll ever be able to wear this outside of my house but I'm praying for a day full of sun! Although I was somewhat apprehensive because of it being white and me loving the ocean I bought it anyway.  I couldn't resist the vintage feel to it! Hopefully it will stop raining soon and I'll be able to wear this to a real beach and not only in my bathtub.

rainy rain.

So, it's raining once again but what has cheered me up is my recent purchase from ebay! I won a dress last night and I can't wait to receive it in the mail.  It has the sweetest large front pockets and is trimmed with blue ric rac.

I was also browsing through ebay and found some other pretty nice dresses that I wish I could buy. All of them having a green/yellow color scheme.

in the middle of the night.

So I went to two thrift stores today, somewhat disappointing.  The first one is a usual for me but today it seemed like the prices of everything went up, by alot!  There were fur capes which I always have my eye on but the prices are just to high for me at the moment and this adorable little purse which I was all ready to buy thinking it was a steal at $2.45 but no, I was wrong.  I went up the pay and it was actually $24.95!  Man, I hate when that happens.  I didn't have enough money to buy it and am still pretty bummed about it.  I also visited a local salvation army and bought some things.  I ended up with two dresses, one blouse, one striped t-shirt, a little girls dress that I wish I could fit into, a smock/apron, a towel and three really adorable drinking glasses with dogs on them.

just a sample of what I bought today.

Cute right? we'll I think so. After reading so many blogs and being in awe of everyone's wardrobes, I often wondered how much you girls think is too much to spend on an item? $10,$30,$100? holla at me.<3333
